These woeful images were taken on my phone... which I just found out from the EXIF data has a 4.9mm f3.2 lens.
This is heartbreak hill behind my home. The first image shows stage 1, which leads onto stage 2 (image 2) as you turn the corner at the top. It is VERY steep & rocky... the photos don't do it justice, really.
On numerous occasions over the years I've thought I should walk that hill a few times a week to get & keep fit. My goal is to be able to walk up and down the hill 10 times in a row & still have enough left to do it some more.
When I first walked it a few years ago I almost died going up once. Then I did it again in November 2008. Unbeknownst to me, I had significantly increased my fitness over the years doing so much walking and shooting panos for Panedia. I was able to go up and down 3 times... and then almost die.
I did it again today for only the 3rd time ever and got up 2 times. I could have done 3, but my body was telling me if I pushed it that hard today... I would pay for it. So for once I listened, and stopped.
